Flipboard has become an essential part of that routine. I've enjoyed customizing the feeds to serve up information that's relevant to my interests. Many of the articles and blog posts I read there are eventually passed on to you via Facebook and Twitter.
A few months ago, Flipboard introduced the option to curate content and create personalized magazines. You can add content directly from Flipboard or install their "Flip It" bookmarklet to your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone and add content right from the web.
Since I'm always looking for new ways to inspire folks to write the stories from their lives, a Flipboard magazine dedicated to "Life Writing" seemed obvious. It's a great way for me to pass along helpful writing tips from other writers, bloggers and mainstream magazines. When readers subscribe to my magazine and click on the article headers, they're linked directly to the original article or blog post on the web. What a great way to discover new blogs and content sources!
Adding content to my Life Writing magazine has now become part of my morning routine. I even added my Twitter feed to Flipboard so I can scroll through the articles others have tweeted as links, find ones that are on-topic, and add them to my magazine.
Check out Life Writing by Tami Koenig on Flipboard. You can download the app for Android, iPhone and iPad here. And if you're already a Flipboard user, just search for "Tami Koenig" then click the subscribe button at the top of the magazine cover.
Who knows, maybe one of your blog posts is there!
